Human Resources

The Human Resources functions are coordinated by the Town Administrator and the Treasurer's Office. The goal is to assist Town officials, employees and prospective employees in a fair, consistent and lawful system of personnel administration based on principles that ensure a uniform, fair and efficient application of personnel policies. 

Our services include:

  • Administering the Town of Bernardston's Personnel Policies & Procedures
  • Centralized record keeping
  • Administering employee compensation plan and benefit programs
  • Managing Town employee recruitment, selection and onboarding 
  • Monitoring personnel actions of all Town departments to ensure legal and policy compliance
  • Coordination of benefits for retired employees
