Employee Benefits

Benefit plan details and enrollment materials are available through the Group Insurance Commission (GIC). Effective July 1, 2026, the Town will participate in the GIC for employee health and prescription drug benefits. 

Additional information
- The Town contracts with the GIC as the third-party administrator for insurance benefits.
- Both HMO and PPO health plan options are available, with individual or family coverage.
- Dental insurance is provided through Delta Dental. 
- Life insurance is provided through Boston Mutual. The Town contributes toward the basic life insurance premium; employees may purchase additional coverage at their own expense. 
-The Town pays 75% of the monthly premium for Health, Dental, and Basic Life Insurance. 

Employees may also elect vision insurance at their own expense and may participate in a voluntary 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan for additional retirement savings, in addition to mandatory state retirement contributions.
